Face-to-face teaching for Class 4 students in the block affected by a pungent odour at Lawrence T. Gay Memorial School will resume on Monday.
The children, who will soon sit the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination, will have classes in another block of the Spooners Hill, St Michael school.
Chief Education Officer Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw told the Saturday Sun yesterday that those students’ learning was being prioritised as the exam was near. She added the Ministry of Health was still conducting investigations into the environmental problems that have disrupted the school this week.
“The Ministry of Health and Wellness said there is no evidence to suggest that the foul odour is coming from the school compound [and] investigations [will] continue in the surrounding areas,” she said.
