After more than a week of testimony, and with the judge about to sum up the case, Kadeem Onan Vaughan threw in the towel and pleaded guilty yesterday.
Vaughan, 28, of Literary Row, Cheapside, The City, and formerly of Belleplaine, St Andrew, told Justice Wanda Blair in the Supreme Court No. 4A that he wanted to change his plea.
He admitted committing aggravated burglary at Savings Plus Supermarket in Rock Dundo, St Michael, and stealing $1 436.85 and a cash pan valued $55, on July 16, 2021. He had a gun and a cutlass while committing the offence.
The repeat offender also requested more bail time so he can put things in place for his daughter, but the court denied it. Justice Blair said she felt he had enough time to make any necessary preparations, since he was on bail throughout the trial.
