Chief executive officer Dr Roland Toppin says the offices of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) at Kensington Oval are abuzz with excitement as the new cricket season begins in two weeks (April 23).
“We are very busy right now putting together the fixtures because we are planning for a full season of cricket,” Toppin told Saturday Sport.
“We will have three Twenty20 competitions. There will be a 50 overs-a-side and two 40-overs-a-side competitions, and then we will finish off the year with the league competitions.”
Toppin and the rest of the BCA hierarchy are hoping that the COVID-19 situation in the island remains stable after they were forced to take the difficult decision of cancelling the entire club season last year.
