Barbadian riders were denied glory as Mexican national champion Eder Frayre made history by being crowned the first overall champion of the inaugural Tour de Bim cycling championship.
Frayre, who rides for cycling club Legion of Los Angeles, accumulated 93 points in the Pedal Loop, Pedal Jam and Pedal Bim races which took place between Friday night and Sunday evening.
Americans Tanner Ward and Jonny Brown, both of the Miami Blazers, came second and third, respectively, with 82 and 80 points.
Former Caribbean Road Race champion Joshua Kelly finished as the top local rider with Edwin Sutherland and Gregory Vanderpool taking second and third place, respectively. Vanderpool was second in Sunday’s Pedal Bim while Kelly was seventh and Sutherland was tenth. (DG)
