Inniss: Great to be home

A loud cheer went up when former Government minister Donville Inniss appeared in the Arrivals Hall of the Grantley Adams International Airport after 10 p.m. yesterday.

Family, friends, supporters and political colleagues exchanged hugs and kissed with a much slimmer Inniss who had just arrived from the United States.

He had served a shortened sentence for good behavior in a federal prison after being found guilty on two counts of money laundering.

Inniss said it was great to be home, he felt “wonderful” and would be looking for some pudding and souse and a rum and coke on Saturday.

“Despite all the trials and tribulations I’ve been through the last four and a half years, these five minutes here of being back here in Barbados among family and friends erased all of what I’ve gone through,” he said. (Nation News)
