President of the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) Verla De Peiza has resigned.
It was confirmed to Nation News today that De Peiza has stepped down and members are currently meeting at the party’s headquarters at the George Street Auditorium, Belleville, St Michael.
This follows General Elections held on Wednesday, where the other main political party, the Barbados Labour Party (BLP), won in all 30 constituencies.
De Peiza took over as president of the DLP in 2018 after the first historic 30-0 loss to the BLP. (KG)
