The boy from Barbados has done it again!
Formula 3 ace Zane Maloney put value to the saying “twice as nice” as he secured his second feature race win of the season yesterday with a brilliant lights to pole victory at a sunny Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands.
It was the second feature race win in as many races, as the Bajan teenager held off stiff competition from French driver Victor Martins, who is currently second in the overall standings. Maloney completed the victory with the best lap time of 1:27.81 which gained him an extra point to his winning tally of 25 for winning the race.
“We were able to get the win in the feature race and two in a row feels amazing,” Maloney told reporters after his win which followed his triumph in Belgium last week.
“The team has again given me a great car every single time I got out. Let’s keep this momentum going and can’t wait for Monza – the team’s home race.” (NM)
