A police inspector said despite giving a letter and a medical consent form, signed by Sir Elliott Mottley, to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), he got no cooperation in relation to getting Warren Mottley’s medical records.
Inspector Dwayne Cumberbatch, however, said he was not the one who requested similar information from company Surgical Solutions.
Cumberbatch told the Coroner’s Inquest into the death of Warren, brother of Prime Minister Mia Mottley, that he had requested Warren’s records from the QEH’s Medical Records Office and he last made a check with the hospital three weeks ago. Warren died on June 29, 2021.
“I was not getting any cooperation and actually seeing any doctors,” the lawman said when questioned by attorney Ezra Alleyne.
“I was made aware I had to get permission from some legal person at the hospital,” Cumberbatch said. (HLE)
