There were 96 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), 40 males and 56 females, recorded on Friday, June 17, out of 488 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
Of that number, there were 29 people under the age of 18, and 67 people 18 years and older. There are now 23 people in isolation facilities and 961 in home isolation.
No deaths were recorded, and the number of people who have died from the viral illness remains at 471.
Since February 2020, the public health laboratory has carried out 696 992 tests and recorded 82 826 cases (37, 735 males and 45 091 females) of COVID-19.
Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign for the virus, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162 534 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 153 230 (56.5 per cent of the total population, or 67.1 per cent of the eligible population).
