Barbados recorded 310 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, 127 males and 183 females, from the 1 118 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Thursday, May 19.
The cases comprise 67 people under the age of 18, and 243 who were 18 years and older.
There were 98 people in isolation facilities, while 4 329 were in home isolation.
A 64-year-old fully vaccinated man succumbed to the virus on Thursday.
As at May 19, there were 436 deaths related to COVID-19.
The public health laboratory has conducted 677 714 tests since February 2020, and recorded 78 448 COVID-19 cases (35 843 males and 42 605 females).
Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162 196 (71 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated people is 152 541 (56.3 per cent of the total population or 66.8 per cent of the eligible population).
