Many restaurants were booked solid yesterday as thousands of people celebrated Mother’s Day.
At Paul Owens at the Beach House in Holetown, St James, restaurant manager Tony Small said the majority of their bookings were between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. He added they were under new management this year so they made the move from a buffet set-up to à la carte dining.
“We are giving all the mothers a little gift. We also have live entertainment from Alan Sheppard,” he said, adding his biggest lunch reservation was for ten people.
