Traffic restrictions in place for “We Gathering” event at Archers Bay

The Barbados Police Service has announced traffic and parking changes for the upcoming “We Gathering” event to be held at Archers Bay, St. Lucy, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To manage the expected flow of traffic and ensure safety, parking will not be allowed along the roadway from Crab Hill Police Station through Grape Hall, Avis Town, and up to Archers Bay. Instead, parking will be provided on an open pasture near the event venue.

This arrangement aims to prevent congestion and maintain smooth access for event attendees.

As part of the safety measures, the TBPS has also prohibited glass bottles from being brought into the venue. Patrons are encouraged to comply with this rule to help create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

In terms of access, two main routes have been designated for entry to the venue. The first is from St. Lucy Parish Church, passing through Trents, Friendship, and the crossroads leading to Avis Town.

The second route begins at Checker Hall and continues through Broomfield, Maycocks, Husbands, Content, Crab Hill, Grape Hall, and Avis Town.

Police officers will be stationed along these routes to guide drivers and ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

The TBPS has apologised for any inconvenience these changes may cause and expressed their appreciation to the public for their cooperation in making the event a success.
