Pedro Caddle, 43, of Bissex Housing Area, St. Joseph, has been identified as the man found dead in Jackson Tenantry Road, St. Michael, following a violent altercation on earlier today.
Police at the Operations Control Room received a report around 9:10 a.m. that there was an accident with injury, where a female was struck and a man was being beaten by some people at Jackson Tenantry Road, St. Michael.
Officers responded to the scene, where they learned that the driver of the car involved in the accident had fled the vehicle and was then pursued and beaten by several individuals. Upon arrival, police found Caddle unresponsive with injuries across his body.
Medical personnel declared him dead at the scene.
The female pedestrian was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she is reportedly in stable condition.
