QEH back on track with reagent for blood testing

Precious donations of blood by Barbadians can be used for important surgeries once more.

This is after the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) was able to procure the reagent which allows the blood to be tested for hepatitis B.

Earlier this month, the hospital had an acute shortage of the reagent, but that matter has been resolved as supplies have been procured from Jamaica.

All blood donated to the blood bank is tested for hepatitis B and HIV. (BA)
