Youth Football Tournament returns this weekend

The Barbados Football Association (BFA) announced this week that the Barbados Youth Football Tournament will return this weekend for the U-9s to U-17s Boys and Mixed teams.

After a two-month break for summer, all the action kicks off again on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in three locations: Parkinson Field and Parkinson Community Centre, Blenheim (A and B), BFA Technical Centre (Wildey Turf and Phillip Blagrove Training Pitch). 

Participating age groups include Under-9s (Mixed), Under-11s (Mixed), Under-13s (Mixed), Under-15s (Boys), and Under-17s (Boys).

The clubs that will be competing are: Barbados Soccer Academy, Cave Hill FC, Eden Stars FC, Evans Maughn Academy, FM Four Pillars, FVFC Blaze, Greens United, Kickstart Rush, Mavericks, National Sports Council, Notre Dame FC, Paradise FC, Parish Land FC, Pinelands FC, Pride of Gall Hill, Pro Shottas, RF Prime, St. Andrew Lions, St. Philip Football Academy, Technique FC, United Stars Alliance, UWI Soccer Bim, Valerie, Football Youth Club and Whitehall Academy.

The tournament will be played in a league format, with the youth teams playing against each other for one round, and will be played under the laws of the game currently in force as authorised by FIFA.

The Barbados Youth Football Tournament commenced in May this year and will continue until November.
