Almost 20,000 customers had their electricity restored by Barbados Light & Power Co. Ltd on Monday.
A notice said teams on-site and in the field have been able to safely restore about nine feeders.
A feeder is a group of 2,000 or more customers that are fed by the same electrical wire from one of our substations.
Areas which had their power restored include:
Wildey, Banks, and Bay Street, St Michael
Arch Hall, St Thomas
A section of Holder’s Hill, St James
Bath Village, St John
Sandy Lane and Holetown, St James
Providence, Christ Church
There may still be some localized outages in these areas, which the crews will be addressing shortly, Light & Power said. The company is also working to restore power in other areas. (SAT)
