Kelly Quintyne welcomes a challenge, and during the COVID-19 lockdown last year, she challenged herself to create plant pots and tabletops out of old tyres.
The 3rd Avenue Reece Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael resident told the MIDWEEK NATION she started searching YouTube and saw the idea before putting her mind to it.
“I said let me try a tyre to decorate around my home. A lady then came and was shocked to see that I could take tyres and turn them into something beautiful for other people’s homes. She asked if I would sell some of them to her. I told her, “Sure, but I would have to think of a price.” From there she passed on the message to friends, who passed it on to their friends and everybody started encouraging me to expand it, and so Browne’s Décor was born,” she said.
Quintyne, 44, said it called for a lot of time, dedication and hard work, but noted she was up to the challenge. (RA)
