High Courts closed on Friday to facilitate Special Sitting

The High Courts will be closed to facilitate a Special Sitting of the Supreme Court of Barbados.

This sitting will take place on Friday, and as a result, the High Courts, located at both Whitepark Road and Coleridge Street, St Michael, will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All other departments will remain open.

In addition, the following changes will be in effect:

Parking will be restricted to only members of staff and those conducting official business at the Supreme Courts or Registration Department.
People conducting business on premises will be required to follow any directions given by police officers, security guards, or signage displayed at the Supreme Court Complex.
Parking on the grass, walkways, footpaths, pedestrian crossings, or in any other clearly marked areas with no parking zones, including the Fire Lane, is strictly prohibited.
