The Ministry of Education has implemented a Learning Development and Examinations Success Preparation Scheme for students who deferred last year’s Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) exams.
That was disclosed by Minister of Education Kay McConney yesterday during an online service of thanksgiving and renewal, ahead of today’s Phase 1 resumption of face-to-face classes.
“[We] are committed to ensuring access to quality education for all of our learners, so their potential is fully realised. We will be redoubling our efforts to assist students in addressing the learning loss that has occurred during the necessary interruption of the face-to-face school environment.
“As it relates to students taking the various examinations of the Caribbean Examinations Council, our Ministry of Education has implemented [the scheme] designed to support those students who deferred the writing of examinations in 2021,” she said. (RA)
