Flash-flood watch

A flash-flood watch is in effect for northern and central districts of Barbados.

A flash-flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) could result in flash flooding within the watch area. It does not mean that flooding will occur.

Due to intense daytime heating and light wind speeds, moderate to heavy showers are expected to continue throughout the duration of the afternoon.

This alert is valid to 6 p.m., but may be terminated sooner if conditions warrant. (PR/SAT)
