Barbados recorded six deaths from the COVID-19 virus from April 1 through 14.
This brings the number of deaths attributed to viral illness since 21 January 2023 to 17, and total deaths to 588.
No statistics were given for the period March 4 to 17.
From April 1 to 14, laboratories across the country conducted 848 tests of which 134 were new cases of the virus. Both of these represent new lows for 2023. Hospitalisation also remains low, at nine.
And for the first time since December last year, 12 people took the COVID-19 vaccine, inching those with the first dose from 163 833 to 163 845 and the number of fully vaccinated to 155 031.
Overall, Barbados has recorded 107 466 cases of the virus.
