A total of 416 people, 167 males and 249 females, tested positive for COVID-19 from the 1 500 tests carried out on Friday, May 13, by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The cases consisted of 108 people under the age of 18, and 308 who were 18 years and older. There were 105 people in isolation facilities, while 4 226 were in home isolation.
A 44-year-old unvaccinated woman died from the virus on Friday, May 13, bringing the number of COVID-19 related deaths to 433.
The public health laboratory has conducted 669 421 tests since February 2020, and recorded 76 261 COVID-19 cases (34 907 males and 41 354 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 034 (70.9 per cent of the eligible population).
The number of fully vaccinatedis 152 353 (56.2 per cent of the total population or 66.7 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
