Mikell Antoine Skeete stabbed a schoolboy seven years ago, but after taking his guilty plea and other circumstances into consideration, Justice Anthony Blackman sentenced him to a $3 000 fine payable in eight months.
He was also ordered to pay $3 500 in compensation to his victim within the next three months. Failure to do so will mean 608 days (one year, 243 days) in Dodds Prison for the 25-year-old.
Boyce, a fourth former at the time, was stabbed in the left side of his chest and twice in the shoulder while travelling to school on a minibus. (SD)
