Barbados recorded 171 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, 82 males and 89 females, from the 582 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Friday, April 15.
Of the positive cases, 35 people were under the age of 18, and 136 were 18 years and older.
The number of people in isolation facilities was 78, while 3 664 were in home isolation.
Two women, aged 84 and 94, died from the virus on Friday. They were both fully vaccinated.
As at April 15, there were 383 deaths related to COVID-19.
The public health laboratory has conducted 631 288 tests since February 2020, and recorded 64 348 COVID-19 cases (29 699 males and 34 649 females).
Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 161 499 (70.7 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated people is 151 623 (55.9 per cent of the total population or 66.4 per cent of the eligible population).
