Students join anti-violence march

Students, parents, teachers and concerned members of the public staged an Anti-Violence Walk through Bridgetown this morning.

The participating schools were St Mary’s Primary, Westbury Primary, St Ambrose Primary and Wesley Hall Junior School, all of which are within the environs of The City.

The group walked from Kensington Mall, along Fontabelle, Cheapside, Chapel Street, Lower Broad Street, Upper Broad Street, Trafalgar Street and Bridge Street, scheduled to end at Probyn Street near Golden Square Freedom Park.

The march is held under the theme SOS – Save Our Sons, demonstrating opposition to the use of violence, particularly firearm related violence, which has robbed them of the male members of their families. (PR/SAT)
