Fear of violence has some residents in My Lord’s Hill, St Michael, feeling their homes are no longer
safe havens.
Some said recent incidents have also triggered them to declare a self-imposed 6 p.m. curfew.
The fear is compounded, they said, because a “wrong” look or comment could invite violence.
On Sunday afternoon, a 50-year-old man was shot in the neck during an incident at Odessa McClean Drive, the latest in a series of gun-related incidents to rock the neighbourhood.
A resident told the MIDWEEK NATION yesterday that at the time of the shooting, the victim was doing repairs on his house when he was hit by a stray bullet.
