Schools asked to prepare for online classes

Schools have been instructed to prepare for online classes for the remainder of the week if drivers at the Transport Board continue to stay off the job.

A circular signed by Chief Education Officer Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw, indicated this would be the contingency plan for all public nursery, primary, secondary and special schools.

Staff at the Transport Board staged a work stoppage on Monday leaving thousands of commuters stranded. They were meeting with representatives of their unions and management. (SAT)
