Pride ready for battle with CCC

The Barbados Pride cricketers are energised and ready for combat as they return to the centre stage at Kensington Oval in the regional four-day first-class competition.

With the tournament schedule allowing for a two-week break, the Bajans had a week off and then hit the nets last week and earlier this week to fortify their troops and recharge for the up-coming contest at their fortress.

Captain Kraigg Brathwaite believes the break has done his players well both mentally and physically. He noted he could see the energy and vitality when they returned and he is confident this will transfer onto the field of play when they faceoff against Combined Campuses & Colleges (CCC) from 10 a.m. today.

“We are very happy to be back at the Oval, this is a place of history and success in Barbados cricket and in world cricket. You feel inspired when you’re here. We had a nice few days off, and now we are back here and eagerly looking forward to it,” Brathwaite said. (PS)
