Fifteen people are now armed with the tools to be better parents, thanks to the Parent Education for Development in Barbados (PAREDOS).
On Saturday, the group graduated from a parenting class held by PAREDOS, in collaboration with the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs and the Strengthening Human and Social Development in Barbados project, in the No. 1 Seminar Room of Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St Michael.
Coordinator of the Strengthening Human and Social Development in Barbados project Nicole Daniel said parenting was a lifetime commitment.
“Children are not all the same and they do not come with manuals. Training up your children takes a lifetime, it is not over when your children turn age 18. Take the strategies you get from this programme and run with them. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn something new,” she said. (CA)
