It will be at least 35 years before the man who bound and gagged, beat and murdered a 75-year-old woman, then dumped her body in a ravine, can be considered for release from jail.
That was part of the life sentence Justice Randall Worrell imposed on self-confessed murderer Cheriss Ricardo Omar Ince yesterday when he reappeared in the No. 2 Supreme Court.
The judge said he determined that Ince’s case did not fall into a whole life category and imposed the life sentence with a tariff.
“I am of the opinion that Mr Ince, based on the facts and circumstances of this case, should not be subject to imprisonment for the rest of his natural life. The circumstances in relation to himself, the circumstances of this case, do not, in my respectful submission, indicate that,” Justice Worrell said. (HLE)
