Self-confessed murderer Cheriss Ricardo Omar Ince will be back in court this week after his matter was adjourned by the No. 2 Supreme Court last Friday.
Ince, of Nursery No. 2, Four Roads, St Philip, pleaded guilty to the non-capital murder of 75-year-old Marcelle Claudia Smith, between October 12 and October 25, 2015.
Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale appeared for the State, while Ince was represented by attorney Safiya Moore.
Smith, the wife of Aurelius Smith, former headmaster of The Lodge School, disappeared on October 12, 2015. Six days later, her husband’s silver-grey Toyota Yaris, which she had been driving, was found abandoned in the vicinity of Chelston Park, St Michael. Her decomposing body was discovered in a ravine six days later after Ince led investigators there.
On Friday, attorney Moore requested the adjournment, which was granted by Justice Randall Worrell.
Ince reappears on March 10. (HLE)
