It’s been more than three years since a magistrate imposed a $350 drug fine on Christopher Philaman Andrew Scott.
However, a question from Justice Carlisle Greaves last Friday revealed that Scott had long since ignored the week in which the fine should have been paid.
Scott, of Chancery Lane, Christ Church, was back in the No. 3 Supreme Court after he had admitted having a .25-calibre Colt semi-automatic pistol on July 6, 2014.
Senior State Counsel Neville Watson appeared for the prosecution.
It was after record keeper Constable Damian Beckles revealed that Scott was fined $350 in one week or one month in prison, in February 2019, for a 2014 cannabis offence, that Justice Greaves asked Scott: “You paid the money, Sir?”
“Not yet, Sir,” Scott replied. (HLE)
