Former calypso monarch Aziza Kerbret Tsgaye Clarke has been freed because of poor evidence in her trial.

The decision was announced by Justice Pamela Beckles this morning, who said on reviewing the evidence, the prosecution had not satisfied the ingredients of the charge.
She also said the evidence of the police investigators was “manifestly unreliable and poor”.
The judge then told Clarke, of Bonnetts, Brittons Hill, St Michael, that she was free to go.
Clarke had been accused that knowing or believing that Hakeem Stuart had committed murder or some other arrestable offence, she assisted him by transporting him from Briar Hall to Graeme Hall, in Christ Church, an act intended to impede his lawful apprehension on March 21, 2019. She was represented by King’s Counsel Michael Lashley, Senior Counsel Angella Mitchell-Gittens and attorney Sade Harris.
