His father Irwin Clarke told Nation News he saw Jamal last night at home, but he left after 6 a.m. to go to Skills Training.
Irwin said he was told one of his sons had been shot, but he did not see anything when he checked. Soon after, he received a call from Jamal’s twin informing him that his brother was shot twice and they were at the hospital. Not long after, he called again to say Jamal had passed away.
“I can’t tell you up to now what happened,” he said.
Jamal, who has one daughter just months old, was taken to the QEH by private vehicle and pronounced dead on arrival.
