BWA adds over a dozen to fleet

General manager of the Barbados Water Authority (BWA), Keithroy Halliday, says they are well on the way to fulfilling the promise of greater customer service and efficiency, having received more than a dozen vehicles to add to the fleet.

He told the Sunday Sun this marks the first time in ten years the BWA has replenished its ageing vehicle stock, and was now almost to its recommended complement to service the population.

The vehicles which were parked at the Simpson Motors complex in Warrens, St Michael, have been the subject of some speculation on social media.

“We secured them through a tendering process and they are parked there to be processed and to go through the various documentation. A number of them have to be outfitted for the purpose of the BWA.

“We are aware that seeing them parked there may cause a scene because we have not replaced our vehicle complement in so long. We have had a tremendous increase in rentals just trying to keep our numbers up to be able to respond to customer queries,” Halliday said. (CLM)
