Barbados welcomes more nurses from Ghana

Barbadian health officials welcomed 122 Ghanaian nurses at the Grantley Adams International Airport this morning.

They arrived on board Euro Atlantic around 8:50 a.m. to meet rainy conditions.

As a result, they had to be transported to an airbus after the exited the aircraft.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Anton Best and Executive Chairman at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland were there to greet them.

The nurses are expected to improve the current shortage on the island. (TG)
