Constable Edmond Winfield Barrow, 58, has been released on $25 000 bail and among his conditions on a joint rape charge is that he checks in with the Oistins Police Station every Wednesday.
Barrow, of Sunjet Drive, Lowlands, and Cristiano Ronaldo Jackman, 17, of Water Street, both in Christ Church, are alleged to have committed the act on January 8 this year.
They were remanded to Dodds Prisons until April 23 when they appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District “F” Magistrates’ Court last month. Jackman had earlier been granted bail also by the High Court.
Attorney Meshach Thornhill made an urgent application in relation to Barrow and Justice Anthony Blackman granted the bail.
The officer has been informed by the court that he must not communicate with the virtual complainant and must stay 100 metres from her, report to the police station and surrender his travel documents as part of his bail conditions. (AC)
